Description

Emily Hallow is a curvy, inexperienced healer living in Hallow Grove, an isolated and self-sufficient village that survived the collapse of modern civilization. Like her grandmother before her, Emily creates herbal remedies and carries responsibility for protecting the community, although she has never fully understood the strange power inherited through her family.

Her peaceful life ends when a Wrathelder spacecraft abducts the entire village. The aliens treat the humans as merchandise, killing anyone considered useless and preparing the remaining captives for transportation. Emily escapes into the ship’s cargo area, where she discovers Zain Voros, a huge green-scaled alien hiding from the same soldiers.

The escape draws the attention of Phenix Wrathelder, who captures Zain, his brothers and the fleeing humans. When Phenix threatens her community, Emily’s dormant abilities awaken. She reveals herself as the Witch of Eversong, gains supernatural protection while defending her people and kills Phenix before freeing Zain.

Emily and Zain reconcile, although she does not excuse his involvement in human trafficking. Zain abandons Euphoria, returns the villagers to Hallow Grove and chooses to spend his life on Earth protecting Emily and helping her community.
