Harper Lorens has spent his life controlled by his wealthy, homophobic father, Leon. At the secret kink club known as The Veil, Harper anonymously meets Benny, a former MMA fighter who privately longs to submit despite his intimidating public image.

Their hidden arrangement develops into love, but Harper’s past returns when Tristan the man who previously abused Harper’s brother Logan—attacks him. Harper kills Tristan while defending himself, and the resulting trauma, secrecy and family pressure temporarily separate him from Benny.

Leon later targets Benny’s entire family to force the couple apart. Harper, Benny and Matthew ultimately confront Leon and kill him, disguising the death as suicide with Shady’s assistance. Harper is reunited with Logan, leaves the family corporation behind and builds a new life with Benny.
