Description

Flick and Rushe’s dangerous past returns when Antoine Mercier, a member of the family connected to a human-trafficking operation, gains access to Flick’s wealthy and unsuspecting relatives. He uses her family and the kidnapped Serendipity as leverage to control the couple.

To protect Rushe, Flick agrees to appear separated from him and enters a risky arrangement with Antoine. Her plan forces both partners to confront jealousy, secrecy and whether their intense relationship can survive weeks apart.

The final confrontation exposes the Merciers’ crimes and frees the hostages. Serendipity is rescued, federal authorities move against the trafficking network, and Flick chooses Rushe and their unpredictable life together over returning to her privileged family world.
